Kilgour/Nick Knight

Designer Carlo Brandelli celebrates his return to Savile Row's Kilgour by teaming up with long-term collaborator Nick Knight on a fashion film. The piece was inspired by many of Brandelli's lifelong passions and obsessions, from architectural installation to the original concept of bespoke. Naturally, given Brandelli's design approach, modernity is a key theme, most evident in the striking glass set, which is reminiscent of a bustling city. The glass also serves to highlight Brandelli's skill with silhouette by reflecting multiple angles and layers. The theme of reflection runs throughout the piece, suggesting not reproduction, but rather contemplation and consideration of artist references. An exclusive soundtrack was provided by Tara Ferry.

Nick Knight continues his collaboration with Kilgour's Carlo Brandelli. This film, the second in the pair's ‘Reflection Series’, showcases the house's S/S 15 collection. It features a set of sculptural mirrored boxes designed by Brandelli to capture the image of a silhouette. 'The architectural nature of the layers is a comment on how the thought process develops with layers of ideas,' he explains. Another exclusive soundtrack by Tara Ferry.
